Training Sessions

Rudderville Running Track & Field Club provides off-season training to high school athletes looking to improve their athleticism. Our programming is designed to supplement high school track and field. Please see below for each of our offerings.

Summer Sessions: (Registration Closed) June 2-August 1st-8 weeks total with July 4th week off-Open to all community high school students and rising high schoolers
  • Our summer sessions are available to mid-distance runners, sprinters, long jumpers, high jumpers, triple jumpers and hurdlers as well as limited pole vaulting and throws.
  • The summer session is 8 weeks long with 3x/week in person training with supplemental independent workouts provided for off days. Mon/Tues/Thurs 5:30-7:00 tentative training days/times. Throwers will participate in strengthening with the team as well as throwing instruction with Coach Adam. 
  • Summer athletes receive training kit with team shirt.
  • Individuals who wish to compete in the AAU district-nationals will pay a small fee for their uniform and meet entries. This is not included in the base cost.
  • All athletes are required to obtain AAU membership to participate in the club regardless if they plan to compete. Follow instructions on Registration page for that membership.
  • Community activities are included in the summer session which are shared privately with the group. 
  • Access to our private app where we share training tips, videos, and other helpful information is included in the session.

Fall/Winter Session: (school-year participation is limited to enrolled students at PHS due to facility access and scheduling.)
  • Our fall session is available to mid-distance runners not participating in cross-country, sprinters, long jumpers, high jumpers, triple jumpers and hurdlers as well as limited pole vaulting and throws. 
  • The fall/winter session is 4 months long with 3-4x/week in person training for all athletes.  This session will focus on strength & power training.
  • Athletes receive structured training Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays & some Fridays (Sept-Jan) after school ranging from 4:00-4:30 start time with a coach. Thursdays are stretching days at home or make-up days. Fridays are immediately after school and will vary through the months.
  • Community activities are included in the fall session which are shared privately with the group. 
  • Access to our private app where we share training tips, videos, and other helpful information is included in the session.
  • A manual is provided with beneficial information customized for the track and field athlete designed by a doctor of physical therapy. â€‹

  • Indoor Track Competition entry fees are paid separately but athletes will be entered under Rudderville Running Track & Field Club for those wanting to compete in the indoor season. 
  • Winter session is a great opportunity for athletes to compete in the indoor track season and prepare for the spring track & field season. Uniforms will be provided at an additional cost to those who wish to compete.

Mission and Financial Aid Information

  • The Rudderville Running Track and Field Club is a tax exempt, Tennessee registered, 501(c)(3). All donations are tax exempt under IRC Section 170.

Our mission is to foster a love for track and field, cultivate teamwork and promote physical fitness while instilling values of sportsmanship and perseverance."

    During the academic year, participation in Rudderville Track & Field Club training sessions is limited to currently enrolled students.

    To remain compliant with local school policy and ensure the safety and coverage of all athletes, only locally enrolled students may participate during the school year.

    In the summer months, when practices are held in alternative facilities and public outdoor venues, participation is open to the broader community in alignment with our mission as a nonprofit athletic club to serve youth athletes.

    2024 is the inaugural year of RRTFC and we plan to add events in upcoming years. Summer of 2024 offerings:
